Construction Claims Consultant
MKA Canada Inc. seeks experienced Construction Claims Consultants / Forensic Schedule Consultants
The candidates, who will join our Calgary and Toronto based teams, should have experience in the assessment, quantification and compilation of Claims relating to:
- Construction Delay, Disruption, Acceleration & Termination Claims
- Productivity Claims & Manpower and Resource assessments
- Differing Conditions, Change Order and Alternative Design Claims
- Course of Construction Claims
- Direct & Indirect damages, GC’s, Overhead costs, & Escalation
The applicant should ideally possess 5-7 years of claims evaluation experience, coupled with foundational field experience in project management, construction estimating and schedule management extending to commercial, industrial, infrastructure, institutional and ideally, oil and gas projects.
The candidate should possess knowledge in CPM, EVM, construction contracts and their interpretation, be versed in standard MS software as well as Microsoft Project and in addition, Primavera P6/P3. The applicant should be able to communicate through astute report writing and Graphical Presentations and Demonstrative Models. Comprehensive knowledge of AACE Recommended Practices is required. Expert witness experience, and relevant professional society membership is preferable.
The applicant must be resident in Canada, and should have completion of University (Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or related field).
English speaking and articulate writing is critical to the position.
